Personalized Support.
Meaningful Growth.
For children, families and helping professionals.
Respite Care
Caregivers need time to rest, recharge or manage everyday responsibilities while knowing their child is safe and meaningfully engaged.
Luna provides personalized respite care based on your child’s interests, abilities, routines and support needs. During each session, your child is paired with a caring professional who focuses on building a positive connection and creating an experience that feels comfortable, enjoyable and familiar.
Respite sessions may include:
• Play and creative activities
• Support with established routines
• Community-based activities
• Opportunities to practise independence and social skills
• Regular communication with caregivers
Intervention Services
When a child needs focused support in a particular area, our intervention services provide structure, consistency and individualized guidance.
We begin by learning about your child’s strengths, current needs and your family’s priorities. Together, we identify meaningful goals and create an intervention plan that can be carried into everyday life. Services may be offered in focused blocks of six or twelve sessions, depending on the child’s needs.
Areas of support may include:
• Communication and social participation
• Emotional and behavioural regulation
• Daily routines and transitions
• Independence and life skills
• Play and developmental skills
• Parent guidance and practical strategies
Progress is monitored throughout the intervention block, with regular communication and recommendations for continued support.
Daycare Integration Services
Starting daycare—or managing challenges within the daycare environment—can be a significant adjustment for both children and caregivers.
Luna works collaboratively with families and daycare teams to better understand the child’s needs and create practical strategies that support participation, comfort and inclusion. The goal is to help the child experience greater success within daily routines while ensuring educators feel supported.
Daycare integration support may include:
• Observation within the daycare environment
• Support during transitions and daily routines
• Individualized strategies for participation and regulation
• Collaboration with caregivers and educators
• Visual tools and practical recommendations
• Direct integration support when appropriate
Purposeful Play Coaching
Children do not always need more toys—they often need a play environment that makes it easier to explore, focus and become interested.
Purposeful Play Coaching helps caregivers make the most of the toys, materials and space they already have. Together, we look at your child’s interests, current play skills and environment to create realistic changes that encourage more meaningful and independent play.
Coaching may cover:
• Sparking interest in existing toys
• Introducing and modelling new ways to play
• Toy rotation and accessible storage
• Organizing and labelling play materials
• Selecting open-ended and developmentally appropriate toys
• Reducing clutter and unnecessary purchases
• Thrifting and choosing second-hand toys safely
• Creating simple sensory bins and play invitations
Personalized Tools & Visual Supports
Sometimes the right visual or practical tool can make everyday routines feel clearer and more manageable for a child.
Luna creates customized resources based on your child’s communication style, developmental level, environment and specific goals. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all template, each tool is thoughtfully adapted to the child and the situation in which it will be used.
Customized supports may include:
• Visual schedules and routine charts
• First–then boards
• Choice and communication boards
• Social stories
• Emotion and regulation tools
• Token or reinforcement boards
• Daycare transition materials
• Adapted learning and homeschool resources
*Families can request an individual tool or a coordinated set of supports for home, daycare or community routines.
